I know, it’s exactly what you wanted to see right before Christmas! 😀 Ok, but I learned a new shading technique, so thought I’d share. Drawing things in a geometric way, in which you think of your subject as being made of flat, intersecting planes, was very helpful for me to better determine how to shade this nose. Think about those planes….

And as usual, looking at how other artists shade noses is helpful, too
