I am a missionary with Central Missionary Clearinghouse (CMC), which holds to the Articles of Faith of the Baptist denomination. My Mission Board is made up of three local Baptist pastors. I personally believe that there is one God (this is written in the Bible in Deuteronomy 6:4), and he is Father, Son, and Holy Spirit (this is apparent throughout the Bible, but some examples are Genesis 1:26, John 10:30, and 2 Peter 1:21). I believe that no human is righteous enough to enter into heaven, except for Jesus of Nazareth, who was God and man and sinless (Isaiah 53). The rest of the human race has been separated from God because we ” all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God” (Romans 3:23). God is perfect and good, merciful and loving, so that “he will not leave the guilty unpunished” (Exodus 34:7), yet “he is not willing that any should perish” (2 Peter 3:9). Therefore, he came to earth as Jesus, a human who lived a perfect life and then took the penalty for all our sins, which was death, “for the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord” (Romans 6:23). Jesus was bodily raised from the dead after being buried for three days, and forty days later he was lifted up from the earth into heaven, and one day he will return again and rule all the earth for eternity. The only way for a human to have forgiveness from God for our evil choices, and to have a peaceful relationship with God, and abundant life, is through trusting in the fact that Jesus paid our sin-penalty on the cross, that he died, was buried, and was resurrected, and you must choose to surrender your life to God as your king. The Bible is the Word of God, without error in its original languages, and “is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness” (2 Timothy 3:16).
